Michele A. Couri, M.D., FACOG
Michele A. Couri, M.D., a Peoria native, received a B.S. in Biology at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After graduating medical school from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where she was chief resident from 2000-2001. She teaches as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ob/GYN at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine, at the Resident Teaching Services at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Methodist Medical Center. She is appointed to the medical staff at OSF, Methodist Medical Center and Proctor Hospital. She has been in private practice in OB/GYN here in Peoria since 2001.
Dr. Couri is currently in Fellowship training in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil. She is also in Fellowship training in Functional and Anti-Aging Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine through the University of South Florida. She truly believes that incorporating Integrative Medicine into traditional Western Medicine allows physicians to be much more effective healers.
Dr. Couri is board certified in OB/GYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Diplomat with the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Couri is also Board Certified by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She is a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
Dr. Couri lives in Peoria with her husband, Timothy, and her six children, John, Lauren, Elle, Mia, Charlie and Caroline.
